Indonesia Vs Argentina National Team Match, League 1 Club Opportunities To Learn About Security

PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) member Arya Sinulingga said the match between the Indonesian national team and Argentina was an opportunity to learn for several League 1 clubs related to securing big matches.

The Indonesian national team against the Argentine national team was held at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK), Monday, June 19, 2023.

PSSI invites several Local Organizing Committees (LOC) from the Indonesian League 1 club to be involved in the security department. This was done so that the League 1 club could learn about the security of big matches during the competition later.

"They are from Madura United, Persib Bandung, Persis Solo, all of them come, they refresh and learn how to secure it so that later when the league starts they already understand and learn from this big crowd," he said.

PSSI itself sold as many as 60,000 tickets for the match between the Indonesian national team and Argentina. That number is less than the stadium capacity of 77 thousand.

However, spectators who are present in tonight's match can exceed the number of tickets sold. The reason is, the sponsors and important guests of state institutions as well as ministers were also invited to attend.

"We have invited heads of institutions and ministers as well. We want this football to be the people's entertainment for everyone. Hopefully after this they will become supporters, for example where the national team goes, they will join," said Arya.

The match between the Indonesian national team against Argentina will be secured by 4,049 security personnel. The level of security with Ring 1, 2, and 3 systems will also be implemented.

Security in Ring 1 is access to the stadium. Meanwhile, Ring 2 security will secure all access to Ring Road SUGBk. Then Ring 3 secured the entire GBK area along with traffic flow around the stadium.

As is known, Argentina comes without several star players for the match against Indonesia. Among them are superstar and owner of seven Ballon d'Or Lionel Messi, former Real Madrid player Angel Di Maria, and Nicolas Otamendi.

However, several names that were included in last year's World Cup squad joined the trip to Jakarta. One of them is their goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
