The Good Luck Of The Indonesian Men's Badminton Team, No Need To Play, Already Get The 2023 SEA Games Medal

JAKARTA - The Indonesian men's badminton team has been confirmed to get medals at the 2023 SEA Games. In fact, it was without the need to play.

Based on the results of the 2023 SEA Games team badminton draw at the Morodok Techo Badminton Hall, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, Sunday, May 7, the Indonesian men's team made a profit because they immediately qualified for the semifinals after getting a shot in the first round.

The men's team that occupies the top seeds not only automatically qualifys for the semifinals, but also ensures one medal for the Indonesian contingent.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian women's team national team, which occupies the second seed below Thailand, will meet the host team in the first round which will begin playing on Monday, May 8.

"This draw is quite fair both in the men's team and in the women's team. But still, everyone must be vigilant and should not underestimate the opponent. Consider the strength of all opponents strong," said Team Manager Eddy Prayitno in an official statement from PP PBSI.

Even though he got a fairly light draw, Eddy reminded him to remain vigilant and not underestimate the opponent.

Especially for the men's team, Eddy looks from two sides. But he believes Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo and his friends are able to overcome the challenges well.

"For the one-sided men's team, it's lucky to be able to enter the semifinals and get a medal. But on the other hand, they have to fight directly in the semifinals because the opponent's level is definitely stronger," said Eddy.

Although the men's team did not have time to experience the warm-up match in the first half, Eddy guaranteed that his students would not have trouble adapting because they had tried the field in the match arena. Therefore, he is sure that the men's team team can immediately appear all out later.

"I hope all players are able to bring out all their abilities, enjoy the match and win," he concluded.
