Tyson Fury Vs Oleksandr Usyk Canceled, Anthony Joshua: I Won't Wait For This Grandpa

JAKARTA - Anthony Joshua will not "sit and wait" to discuss with Tyson Fury after King Olksandr Usyk's plan to fight with Oleksandr Usyk failed.

The Usyk camp confirmed last Wednesday that talks with Fury over the heavyweight title unification battle at Wembley on April 29, had failed.

After the confirmation, Fury's promoter, Eddie Hearn then expressed his desire to revive Fury's chances of meeting Joshua. He hopes to re-negotiate with Joshua in order to realize the match between the two great British boxers.

However, Hearn's hopes seem to be difficult to come true. Joshua is reportedly no longer interested in plans to fight Fury in the ring.

That after the previous two negotiations always failed to agree on the terms of the fight. The last one even happened at the end of last year.

"I was supposed to fight him before I fought Usyk, for the first time, and he withdrew because of his legal case, arbitration, with Wilder (Deontay)," said Joshua.

"Then we have one more negotiation for December (when the talks failed). Will the fight with me and him happen? I don't know."

"Give me all the bad things they're going through right now with this Usyk problem. It's crazy. I didn't publish it, so it's actually great if people start to see what's going on," he continued.

Joshua said Fury's failure to meet Usyk shows who is talking nonsense. When Fury always fails, Joshua and Usyk actually smooth out several matches.

"I can't say I'm just going to sit around and wait for this grandfather [Fury]. There's another great fight out there that I can do," said Joshua.

"Without Fury in my notes, I wouldn't wake up tomorrow and regret my entire boxing career. If he was in it, I would be in it. Otherwise, no," he concluded.

Joshua is scheduled to meet Jermaine Franklin in London on April 1 as he wants to respond to Usyk's successive defeat.
