YOGYAKARTA The coach of the Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong has released a list of players for the U-20 national team to prepare for the World Cup. In the list, there are a number of players who are often included in the U-20 Indonesian national team squad, such as Kakang Rudianto, Robi Darwis, Rabbani Tasnim, Muhammad Ferari, Hokky Caraka to Ronaldo Kwateh.

In addition, coach STY also summoned Marselino Ferdinand who failed to fulfill the call when the U-20 Indonesian national team competed in the 2023 U-20 Asian Cup.

At that time, Marselino was not included in the Asian Cup because he still has a shared responsibility with his club in Belgium, KMSK Deinze.

Now, the former Persebaya Surabaya player is again called by coach STY for the 2023 U20 World Cup.

Based on letter number 962/AGB/160/OO-2023, 29 players called Shin Tae-yong will attend the training camp in Jakarta and South Korea.

The TC program in Jakarta will start on March 20 or the day after tomorrow. The schedule for the U-20 National Team TC coincides with the senior national team squad who are preparing to fight Burundi on FIFA Matchday, March 25 and 28.

After gathering and undergoing training for several days in Jakarta, the U-20 national team players will go to South Korea to undergo training camp.

The 2023 U-20 World Cup will take place in six cities in Indonesia. The age group competition starts on May 20 and will end on June 11.

Shin Tae-yong's team will find out their opponents in the group stage in the drawing which will be held in Bali, March 31.

In addition to the names mentioned above, coach Shin Tae-yong also summoned three naturalized candidate players, namely Rafael Struick, Ivar Jenner, and Justin Hubner.

Although the naturalization process for the three players has not yet been completed, STY continues to call Struick, Jenner and Hubner to join TC. The naturalization process for the three players is planned to be discussed in the DPR next week.
