Mayweather And McGregor Will Duel Again Twice, IDR 22.93 Trillion Of Payment

JAKARTA - The rematch between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will finally happen. Technically, there will even be two rematches.

Marca reported Monday that the two fighters will first duel in the boxing ring, as they did when they met in Las Vegas in 2017, before then fighting in the MMA octagon.

The proposal is for both of these fights to become official, meaning Mayweather will be risking his unbeaten professional boxing record, 50-0.

He is set to return to the ring competitively after only participating in an exhibition fight since defeating McGregor, or his 50th win.

The American boxer has held a total of four exhibition fights. The details; in December 2018 defeated Tenshin Nasukawa, in June 2021 met YouTuber Logan Paul in an eight-round fight, in May 2022 against Don Moore and two weeks ago he defeated Japanese MMA fighter Mikuru Asakura.

In November, Mayweather is scheduled to have another exhibition duel in Dubai. This time it's up against 25-year-old Deji, a YouTube star who has jumped into boxing.

McGregor, meanwhile, has not fought at all since breaking his ankle in a fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

The Irish fighter has two fights remaining on his current UFC contract. Meaning, it could cause a number of problems with Mayweather or UFC president Dana White.

According to The Sun, the contract for the two fights would be worth a record $1.5 billion if they could sign and seal it.

The same newspaper reported that the venues chosen for this fight were Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia and it would take place next year.

However, this plan led some to speculate that Mayweather would withdraw after the first duel. The reason is, Money never really dared to set foot in the octagon with McGregor.
