JAKARTA - Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has the support for his candidacy back from soccer superstar Neymar. He posted a video of himself dancing to pro-Bolsonaro's campaign song on TikTok.

While driving, Paris Saint-Germain striker and Brazil, who are arguably the most famous celebrities in Samba Country, showed the number 22 which became Bolsonaro's election number, with his finger when he swung an electronic dance.

The incident occurred three days before the incumbent from the far right fought against a presidential candidate from the left wing, former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.

"Select, vote, and press number 22, Bolsonaro," reads the song, referring to Brazil's electronic voting machine which the president said was full of scams.

Bolsonaro did not waste time retweeting Neymar's support.

The 30-year-old footballer previously did not participate in Sunday's election where Lala led the poll.

But he sent a video message to Bolsonaro three days later after the president visited the child charity foundation belonging to the footballer.

"Hello, President Bolsonaro... I would like to thank you for your outstanding visit," Neymar said on Instagram after Bolsonaro visited Neymar Jr. Institute, a non-profit organization founded by the football star in 2014.

It runs educational, cultural and sporting programs for 3,000 underprivileged children.

Supporters Bolsonaro wore Brazil's yellow-green jersey as a symbol of support for the president, along with the Brazilian flag.

Both Bolsonaro and Neymar are vocal in displaying their assistantship, AFP said.
