League Results 1: Only 10 Players Were Strengthened, Persita Conquered PSM 2-1

JAKARTA - A total of 10 players from Persita Tangerang got up and beat PSM Makassar with a tight score 2-1 in the 17th week of Liga 1 Indonesia at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor Regency, Sunday afternoon.

In this match, Persita Tangerang was recorded as having to play with 10 people from the 45+5 minute because Javlon defender Gusyenov got a red card, according to the Indonesian League 1 record.

PSM Makassar is known to have succeeded in winning first through the goal of the striker Nemin Haljeta, but Persita Tangerang refused to give up and was able to turn things around through Yardan Yafi and Esal Sahrul.

Thanks to this victory, Persita Tangerang ended two consecutive matches without a win and moved up to eighth in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 27 points from 17 matches.

On the other hand, PSM Makassar dropped to sixth in the Indonesian League 1 standings with 27 points from 17 matches, one point from the top four.

Statistically, PSM Makassar actually dominated the match by recording 57 percent possession and releasing nine shots at the goal, but Persita Tangerang was effective.

In this match PSM took the initiative to attack first and several times threatened the Persita goal, but nothing has yielded results.

PSM was finally able to get the lead first in the 43rd minute through a goal scored by Nermin Haljeta after welcoming the ball from vomiting in the Persita penalty box so that the score changed to 1-0.

Persita was finally able to equalize in the 60th minute after Bae Sin-yeong's quick free-kick was converted into a goal by Yardan Yafi so the score changed to 1-1.

Fabio Lefundes' squad managed to turn things around in the 88th minute after Yardan Yafi, who escaped from the offside position, sent a pass which was met by Esal Sahrul's kick and broke into PSM's goal and the score changed to 2-1. The score lasted until the game was over.

Furthermore, in the 18th week of Liga 1 Indonesia, Persita Tangerang is scheduled to host PSIS Semarang, Sunday (12/1), while PSM Makassar travels to Persis Solo headquarters, the day after.
