Matches Casey Stoner's Record After Winning The Austrian MotoGP, Francesco Bagnaia: A Very Long Race

JAKARTA - Lenovo's Ducati racer, Francesco Bagnaia, won the Austrian MotoGP race, Sunday, August 21. This is Bagnaia's third consecutive win.

Previously, the Italian rider won the Dutch MotoGP and British MotoGP. This achievement makes Bagnaia equal the record of its predecessor, Casey Stoner.

Stoner has won three races in a row twice. First in the 2007 season and one the following season. Both are with Ducati.

This victory looks easy for Bagnaia. He consistently led the race from the beginning to the end of the race.

However, this Valentino Rossi protege admits that his struggle is not as easy as it seems.

"It was a very long race. I tried to be more calm and careful because we used soft tires, which was not the best choice for me before the finish," said Bagnaia after the race, as reported by Antara.

"But I'm very happy. When I see the gap, I really want to be constant with my lap time, and I'm confident in my pace."

"At the end, I tried to be calmer because they were getting closer. I am very happy with this result and we are going to Misano. I can't wait to get there."

In this race, Bagnaia was almost chased by Fabio Quartararo who finally finished in second place. While the third podium was occupied by Jack Miller, Bagnaia's teammate at Ducati.
