Finished In 17th Position After Starting From The 28th Grid In British Moto3, Mario Aji Admits He Made A Mistake: It's Embarrassing

JAKARTA - Indonesian racer, Mario Suryo Aji, again showed an impressive performance in the Moto3 event. He almost got points during the race at the British Silverstone Circuit, Sunday, August 7.

Starting from the 28th grid, Mario Aji finished the race in 17th position. The Honda Team Asia rider admitted that he could get points if he didn't make mistakes.

"I really enjoyed fighting with other riders. On the first lap, I was with the front group. I was in a hurry and made a lot of mistakes," said Mario Aji in a release received by VOI.

As a result of that mistake, Mario Aji was separated from the front group. He also threw away the opportunity to get additional points in Moto3 this season.

"It's a shame, without that mistake, I feel I have the opportunity to stay with them (front group)," he said.

However, Mario Aji was happy with the whole weekend at Silverstone. These results can be an important capital to face the next race.

Moto3 2022 will then be held on August 19-21. The riders will compete at the Red Bull Ring Circuit, Austria.

"Mario Aji and Taiyo Furusato have to improve, try to gain more experience. Next race in Austria, we will see what they have learned here," said Honda Team Asia manager, Hiroshi Aoyama.
