Darwin Nunez's Finishing Against MU Failed, Netizens Angry: Give My Money Back!

JAKARTA – New Liverpool player Darwin Nunez made a bitter debut with his team in pre-season against Manchester United.

The Uruguay international's debut was marked by a four-goal unanswered defeat by his team against the Red Devils at the Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday night.

Liverpool trailed 0-3 at half-time before Facundo Pellistri added a fourth. Liverpool had a chance to reduce the score through Nunez after that.

Unfortunately, the golden opportunity in front of goal from inside the penalty box was not put to good use by Nunez. He got the ball gag, but his shot just went wide over the crossbar.

The video showing Nunez's failure immediately went viral. Football fans immediately mocked the player.

They question why Liverpool spent so much money on the former Benfica star.

"That's 100 million euros a shame for missing the easiest chance to score," one person tweeted.

"Return my money!" another comment.

That humiliating failure wasn't the only one Nunez had ever made. Previously, a similar failure in a training session a few moments before the match had already gone viral.

The video clip that went viral first showed Nunez's action which was far from impressive. In the video, it can be seen that his shot is always darting over the goal.

In two attempts, he always failed to find the ball in the net. Interestingly, what was seen in the training session was actually repeated in the match against MU.
