Impressions Of Foreign Racers Racing On The Rocket Motor Circuit MXGP Samota-Sumbawa: Challenging And Fun

SUMBAWA - The MXGP event was held in Samota-Sumbawa, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). A number of foreign racers took part, including Tim Gajser.

The Slovenian Honda Racing rider was also impressed by the Indonesian MXGP series which was held in Samota-Sumbawa. He said that the Samota-Sumbawa MXGP Rocket Motor Circuit was very challenging and fun.

Gajser himself looked impressive from the free practice session to the qualifying round. In the qualifying round which took place on Saturday, June 25, he completed 20 minutes plus two laps with a time of 24:45,559 minutes.

He was ahead of Romain Febvre who posted 24:54,283 minutes.

"It was a good day and I enjoyed it. But the track was challenging and fun. I led well in qualifying and made a good distance as well," said Gajser, as quoted by Antara.

"Romain pressed and he was quite good. He started to close the gap with me who lost a little bit of rhythm. But in the end I was able to finish the race well and can choose the starting line for tomorrow," he added.

On this occasion, he also said that the presence of the trackside spectators made him excited to show the best action.

Meanwhile, Farhan Hendra Fahrodjie, who was the only Indonesian representative in the MXGP class, had to settle for finishing in 17th position with 25:29,023 minutes. He was twice passed or overlapped by Tim Gajser.
