World Boxing Blockbuster Confirmed, Oleksandr Usyk Vs Anthony Joshua Volume II Held In Saudi Arabia

JAKARTA - The blockbuster fight in the boxing world will be presented again in August. Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua will officially rematch.

Usyk versus Joshua volume II will take place in Saudi Arabia on August 20. The match was labeled 'Rage on the Red Sea'.

Confirmation of the rematch between the two boxers was conveyed by promoter Eddie Hearn. He said he was delighted that one of the biggest heavyweight rematches in boxing history would take place.

"Giving Anthony Joshua a chance to reclaim what he lost in London last September," said Eddie Hearn, quoted by SportBible.

"Everything is at stake for the fight for the unification of the heavyweight world titles and there is no bigger contest."

Usyk defeated Joshua by unanimous decision in September last year. He now holds the status of the WBA (super), IBF and WBO heavyweight world champion.

This is not the first time a major fight has taken place in Saudi Arabia. In 2019, the Middle Eastern country was the scene of a fight between Anthony Joshua and Andy Ruiz Jr.

"We look forward to working together again to hold this historic event. Without a doubt, all the eyes of the world will be on August 20," said Eddie Hearn.

"This is a story of redemption, and the countdown starts now," he concluded.
