Choosing Juventus After Parting With Manchester United, Paul Pogba Reportedly Signed A 4-season Contract

JAKARTA - After officially parting ways with Manchester United, Paul Pogba is now reported to have found a new port. The French player reportedly chose to return to Juventus.

Paul Pogba has reportedly signed a four-year contract with the Italian Serie A giants. According to reports in Italy, Pogba prefers to join Juventus despite interest from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Real Madrid.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Pogba will receive an income of 10 million euros (approximately IDR 154 billion) net per season, which consists of 7.5-8 million euros in salary plus bonuses.

Rafaela Pimenta, the lawyer who took over the negotiations for Pogba after the death of Mino Raiola, is now reportedly seeking a three-to-four-year contract, according to Antara from Football Italia.

According to the report, the contract, agent, and signing fee as well as various bonuses could bring the total amount paid by Juventus to land Paul Pogba to 80 million euros.

Pogba's arrival to Juventus for free is the second time after the Frenchman moved to the Bianconeri in 2012 after his contract was not renewed by Manchester United and had four successful seasons in Turin.

Then in 2016, Pogba returned to Old Trafford after Manchester United redeemed him from Juventus with a tag of 105 million euros, or around IDR 1.6 trillion, which made him the world's most expensive player at that time.

On June 1, Manchester United confirmed the departure of Paul Pogba in the transfer market this summer after his contract expires at the end of the month.

During his time with Manchester United since 2016, the 29-year-old player appeared in 233 matches in various competitions and was able to contribute 39 goals and 51 assists. In addition, he also presented the Europa League title and the English League Cup.
