Fabio Quartararo Wants To Be Like Valentino Rossi And Marc Marquez: My Goal Is To Be As Great As Them

JAKARTA - Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP racer, Fabio Quartararo, admits that he wants to be like Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez. He wants to be the "face" of MotoGP racing, not just winning the competition.

Quartararo aims to be a leader in the world's most prestigious motorcycle race.

"My goal is not only to win the world championship, but to win as much as possible. That is my goal and it depends on me," Quartararo said in an interview with AS.

However, he admits it is difficult to have the mentality of Marquez or Rossi. He has to be ready to adapt to the pressure to be like both of them.

"Having the mentality of Marquez and Rossi is difficult, because if you finish fifth, it's a bad result. You have to know how to adapt to the pressure and my goal is to be as good as them," said the French rider.

Quartararo admits that there are advantages that Rossi and Marquez do not have, namely experience and adapting to all conditions.

"This is my weakness, because we have speed. It's little things like this that make the difference in MotoGP," he said.

Quartararo can't really be compared to Rossi and Marquez. He is somewhat less consistent to be a champion.

This can be seen in this season. After finishing second in the Mandalika MotoGP, the rider who was born in Nice, France, only finished 8th in the Argentine MotoGP race last weekend.
