Benzema Wants To Play With Mbappe In Madrid: We Will Score 3 Times More Goals

JAKARTA – Karim Benzema reiterated his desire to play with Kylian Mbappe at Real Madrid. He wants his compatriot to join Los Blancos this summer.

Benzema conveyed this desire in an interview with the French media, L'Equipe. According to him, the number of goals for Los Blancos is considered to be doubled and even more if Mbappe joins the Santiago Bernabeu.

"I like playing with [Mbappe] in the national team and I want to play with him at the club level. I believe that we will score twice or even three times as many goals," Benzema said, reported by Marca.

Mbappe is widely reported to be close to Real Madrid in the nearest transfer window. The issue was reinforced by information that stated that the 23-year-old had refused to sign a contract extension with Paris Saint-Germain.

Thus, if he joins Madrid, Mbappe will automatically cooperate with Benzema. The relationship between the two in the French national team can also facilitate their communication on the field.

"We have good connections in the national team because we each know what the other is going to do. For example, we both like to run to the left, but we will never be there both at the same time," said Benzema.

However, the latest news says that this transfer saga is unlikely to happen because of the maneuvers carried out by French President Emmanuel Macron. The number one person in France reportedly intervened to persuade the former Monaco player to stay in Paris.

However, Mbappe's future will remain a mystery. His decision to stay or leave may only be known after the French League 1 competition this season is complete.
