JAKARTA - The World Football Association (FIFA) ahead of the 72nd congress in Doha, Qatar, Wednesday, decided to adopt a new rule related to limiting the number of players that can be loaned by clubs.
In order to prevent the build-up of players and encourage the development of players' careers, clubs are limited to only eight international loan signings and eight players on loan to other clubs for the upcoming season.

These FIFA regulations also include the introduction of a minimum duration of loan agreements, which is between two transfer windows and the maximum duration is one year.
FIFA added that a club can only have a maximum of three professional players on loan at one club and a maximum of three professional players on loan from one club.
