JAKARTA - A breakthrough was made by the Indonesian League 1 promotion club, Rans Cilegon FC. Raffi Ahmad's club will bring Ronaldinho to Indonesia.

The Brazilian legend will appear in the trophy match which will be followed by Rans, Persis Solo, Arema FC, and Persija Jakarta.

Ronaldinho's arrival was welcomed by the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Zainudin Amali. He said the arrival of the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain player would have a positive impact on national football.

In addition, the presence of Ronaldinho will also increase the passion for football in the community. The moment is also considered right, ahead of the U-20 World Cup in 2023, which Indonesia will host.

"So we are starting to heat up the atmosphere towards the U-20 World Cup. Hopefully, this will have an impact, and the public will know that later in 2023 there will be a World Cup in Indonesia," said Zainudin Amali on the official website of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The Minister of Youth and Sports then thanked Rans Cilegon FC for bringing in world-class players. He hopes, this can revive Indonesian football.
