JAKARTA - Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi was handed a one-match ban on Tuesday for berating referee Marco Guida after his side lost the Milan derby.

Serie A said in a statement that Inzaghi had been sanctioned and fined 15,000 euros (Rp 246 million) for making "grossly disrespectful" comments to Guida near the San Siro dressing room following Saturday's 1-2 defeat to AC Milan.

Inzaghi expressed disappointment at Olivier Giroud's equalizer for Milan, which came after more than 70 minutes of Inter's dominance in the match and was caused by what Inzaghi called a foul on Alexis Sanchez.

Giroud then scored again to determine the victory and open the door for the league title.

Inter are currently just one point clear of Milan and Napoli, and will travel to Napoli's San Paolo Stadium this weekend.

Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni has also been banned for two matches for repeatedly insulting match officials at the end of the derby when Milan left-back Theo Hernandez was sent off.

Hernandez was suspended for one game and fined 5,000 euros for a foul and "provocative act" towards Inter fans as he left the pitch.

Hernandez's actions also angered Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who then made an insulting expression at the Frenchman for which he was also fined 10,000 euros.

Inter host Roma in the Italian Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday Night.
