Demo Di DPR RI Terbarang, Ruas Jalan Gatot Subroto Kembali Normal

JAKARTA - The Gatot Soebroto Road and the toll road in front of the DPR RI Building, Central Jakarta, finally managed to open and pass public transportation on Thursday, March 27, at around 19.00 WIB.

The two roads, which were previously blocked by the crowd, were finally able to be passed by a number of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles.

The demonstration by the Dark Indonesia was successfully dispersed by the Police at around 18.24 WIB. The authorities repulsed the demonstrators.

From VOI's observation, the situation in front of the DPR RI Building is now sterile from the demonstrators. Even so, the police are still on guard in front of the DPR RI building.

In securing today's demonstration, the Police deployed 1,824 joint personnel to secure the expressing opinions of various alliances related to the TNI and Indonesia Ilang Bill.

"In order to secure the action of expressing opinions from students and several alliances, we involved 1,824 joint personnel," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Thursday, March 27.

The joint personnel came from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI, Pemda DKI, and related agencies.

They are placed at a number of points around the DPR RI Building to ensure that the action remains conducive. The police chief emphasized that all personnel on duty are not equipped with firearms and will prioritize a humanist approach to security. "The personnel involved are not carrying weapons," he said.
