Ditpolairud Central Java Police Guard Coastal Area Ahead Of New Year's Eve

JAKARTA - A number of vital object points and strategic locations in the Tanjung Emas Port area, Central Java (Central Java) were targeted by the Directorate of Water and Air Police (Ditpolairud) of the Central Java Police.

This security is carried out as part of the 2024 Candi Candle Operation to ensure the safety of the community during the Christmas and New Year celebrations (Nataru).

"As a form of guarantee for the security of community activities during Nataru, a number of points of vital objects and strategic locations such as tourist attractions and places of worship in coastal areas of Semarang City are the focus of our attention," said Director of Police of the Central Java Police Kombes Hariadi, in a written statement, Sunday, December 29.

A number of points that are the focus of security include the Tanjung Emas Port Passenger Terminal, which is the center of activity for ship passengers, and Marina Beach which is the favorite tourist destination.

The police also ensured security at the Kudus Kocrosono Heart Church, Tanah Mas North Semarang, which was the location of Christian worship during the 2025 Christmas and New Year celebrations.

"In addition to security activities, Ditpolairud personnel also carry out routine patrols to these locations to ensure the situation remains safe and under control," he continued.

He hopes that the presence of officers in the field can ensure the safety and comfort of the community during this Nataru period.

"We hope for cooperation from the community to remain orderly and comply with directions from officers for the sake of safety and comfort together, especially during worship and New Year's Eve celebrations. Don't hesitate to report to the officers if you need help or if you find something suspicious," he said.
