Year-End Records Of Commission III Of The DPR: Security Of The 2024 Police Election Praised, AGO Asked To Be More Professional

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR RI praised the performance of the National Police for securing the implementation of the 2024 presidential and regional elections. However, regarding the Attorney General's Office (AGO), the commission in charge of the law asked to be more professional.

This is stated in the year-end notes of Commission III of the DPR RI regarding the supervision of the performance of the Police and the AGO at Nusantara II Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, December 27.

"Commission III of the DPR appreciates the National Police Chief in maintaining security and public order with effective program innovations and security operations in various community activities, such as the presidential and regional elections, as well as religious holidays," said Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Habiburokhman.

Commission III of the DPR also gave appreciation to the National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo who had given strict sanctions to members of the National Police who committed violations and asked the police to be more responsive in following up on public complaints.

"Try to check my friends, almost all of the cases that attracted attention were the perpetrators at PTDH (disrespectful dismissal), Polri officers at PTDH, Jambi 2 people, Central Sulawesi also at PTDH, West Sumatra of course it was PTDH," he said.

Meanwhile, for the AGO, Commission III of the DPR noted the need to increase professionalism, accountability, transparency in the law enforcement sector by the prosecutor's office.

Commission III of the DPR noted that related to the function of handling the existing prosecutor's case, as well as providing notes for the prosecutor's office to improve the handling of cases involving state finances or economy such as corruption and natural resources, as well as ensuring that law enforcement is able to equally assist in the return of state financial losses.

"Commission III of the DPR also noted that the management of the prosecutor's organization and human resources is so that the prosecutor's office needs to improve bureaucratic management and reform in a more measured manner," said Habiburokhman.
