Had A Drift In Ciliwung, A 2-year-old Boy In Bogor Was Found Lifeless In A Culvert

Joint officers from the National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas), the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Fire and Rescue Service (DPKP), the Disaster Preparedness Cadet (Tagana), and elements of volunteers from Bogor City, West Java, managed to evacuate a toddler named Arjuna (2 years) who was swept away in the Ciliwung River on Saturday, December 14.

Head of BPBD Bogor City Hidayatulloh said, after the second day of the search, the victim was found and evacuated in the Kedung Waringin Village area, Bogor Regency, dead.

"Alhamdulillah, the results of the search for the second day, the victim was found at 15.24 WIB in the culverts in Bojonggede District, Bogor Regency," said Hidayatulloh.

He said officers received information from residents regarding the body of a toddler who was caught in a sewer. After receiving the report, officers headed to the location and evacuated the victim

"Because we were also combing earlier. Isirkan beberapa titik vortices air. Mulai dari titik 0 sampai juga hampir memasuki Kabupaten Bogor. Saat ini korban sudah kita handihkan kepada keluarga," jelasnya.

From the information he received, at the time of the incident the victim was playing near the river without being accompanied and supervised by anyone. So he appealed to the public to keep an eye on the children who play this rainy season.

"So this is indeed an evaluation material for all, minors to monitor. Especially in the midst of weather conditions that are not, those who are not doing well and those on the banks of the river," he said.

Previously, it was reported that the joint rescue team of Bogor City was trying to find a 2-year-old toddler who was swept away in the Ciliwung River, precisely in Tanah Sareal Village.

The victim was swept away on Saturday, December 14, at around 16.30 WIB. After receiving the report, the joint team immediately went down to the location by conducting a visual sweep, both observing river currents and visuals on land.
