Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of Central Sulawesi Province BPBD Andy Sembiring said floods hit Watuawu Village in Lage District and Bega Village in Poso Pesisir District.
"The flood incident occurred on Saturday (14/12) triggered by high rainfall so that river water in the local village overflowed and inundated residential areas," Andy said, quoting ANTARA, Sunday, December 15.
He explained, as many as 125 houses were flooded in Bega Village and public facilities such as two school buildings, one mosque, and the local village office were also flooded.
He said there were no casualties in this incident, but at this time it is urgent to repair waterways in Bega Village.
As for Watuawu Village, he said, the number of houses affected was still being collected, while one family head (KK) fled to a safe place.
