JAKARTA - Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Minister (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding confirmed that his party would help Musripah (42) to finance treatment at the hospital.

Musripah is an Indonesian migrant worker who works in Malaysia non-procedurally. He was treated in Malaysia due to ruptured blood vessels.

Now he is in the Awal Bros Hospital, Batam and is in a coma. On Saturday, December 7, Minister Karding flew straight to Batam and visited him.

"I visited Mrs. Musripah, one of the Indonesian Migrant Workers who departed non-procedurally in Malaysia, then there she was sick," Karding said in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Sunday, December 8.

Although Musripah departed non-procedurally, the Ministry of P2MI still helped finance Musripah's treatment at the hospital.

"Indonesian migrant workers who are victims of criminal acts of trafficking in persons (TPPO) must still be served as citizens," explained Karding.

Karding ensured that the Ministry of P2MI would help Musripah as much as possible.

"We are deliberately present here as a message to the public that if you want to work abroad, it must be according to procedures, so that the government can protect and be present in this context," said Karding.
