Defeat The Incumbent Governor, Mirza-Jihan Wins In The Lampung Gubernatorial Election

BANDARLAMPUNG - Candidate Pair (paslon) number 02 Mirzani Djausal-Jihan Nurlela excels in the Lampung gubernatorial election (Pilgub) by winning 3,300,681 votes, based on the results of the provincial-level vote recapitulation.

"We are grateful that the plenary meeting of the recapitulation of provincial-level results went smoothly and was attended by witnesses from candidate pair 01 and 02, Bawaslu and related parties we invited," said KPU Lampung chairman Erwan Bustami as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 7.

Based on the results of the provincial-level vote recapitulation, the candidate pair for Governor of Lampung number 01 Arinal Djunaidi-Sutono won 691,076 votes from the total final voter list (DPT) of 6,515,869.

"After this plenary session, we will still wait 3x24 hours whether there is a lawsuit on the results of the Lampung gubernatorial election at the Constitutional Court or not," he said.

Then, he continued, after three days his party will receive the case registration book (BRPK) from the Constitutional Court (MK) through the Indonesian KPU.

"So later the Constitutional Court will convey it to the Indonesian KPU and then we will submit the BRPK and if there is no request for a dispute, then the Lampung KPU will hold a plenary meeting to determine the elected candidate," he said.

Erwan said that from the results of the provincial-level vote recapitulation meeting, there was a note that became a special incident.

"Earlier there was a note of changes in the user of the right to vote in the DPTb model that had been agreed upon by Bawaslu and the witness of the candidate. There was a wrong input for users of the right to vote between additional voters and transfers in North Lampung and Central Lampung Regencies. This is recorded as a special incident," he said.

Based on the results of the recapitulation of votes at the Lampung Province level, the number of valid votes in the gubernatorial election was 3,991,757 while invalid votes were 279,588 votes, with a total of 4,271,345 votes valid and invalid votes.
