Gerindra Has Not Prepared A Position For Jokowi

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP said that for the time being he had not prepared any position for the 7th President Joko Widodo because the party did not know Jokowi's plan.

"While we haven't prepared anything because we don't know Pak Jokowi's plan yet," Dasco said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, December 6.

He said Gerindra was in principle open to anyone as conveyed by the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party DPP Prabowo Subianto.

"But, I don't know if Pak Jokowi wants to enter Gerindra or has other plans," said Dasco.

President Prabowo when asked by reporters about the possibility of Jokowi joining Gerindra, who was then answered by Gerindra, was open to anyone.

"If Gerindra is open, but of course we can't mean it," Prabowo said in front of his private residence, Jakarta, Friday, answering reporters' questions.

Within 10 years since 2004, Jokowi is known as a PDIP cadre. However, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto at a press conference in Jakarta, Wednesday (4/12), announced Jokowi and his family, namely Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution, not PDIP cadres and no longer part of the PDIP.

President Prabowo at his private residence on Jalan Kertanegara No. 4, Jakarta, Friday, received a visit from the 7th President Joko Widodo. The two of them had dinner together in Kertanegara while talking.

During the meeting, Dasco said that President Prabowo and Jokowi did not discuss specific matters, including party matters.

"I was told that I didn't talk about it like that. (Both) there are more nostalgic stories at the Palace actually. Mr. Prabowo told me that there were several places that were changed, then the goods were moved around, and then now Mr. Prabowo is his favorite in which corner, the room is like that, the story is just that," said Dasco.

The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP faced Prabowo in Kertanegara after the President hosted Jokowi. The meeting between Dasco and President Prabowo lasted for approximately an hour.
