JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI has increased the number of train series that will be operated to serve customers during the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 (Nataru) periods. The number added is eight series of trains.
KAI's EVP Corporate Secretary, Raden Agus Dwinanto Budiadji, said train tickets for the Nataru 2024 period could be booked from D-45. The additional train series of tickets have also been sold.
"At Nataru, we have added eight series of trains. We have sold eight series of trains for the Nataru period (the tickets)," he said when met at Gambir Station, Jakarta, on Sunday, November 26, 2023.
Agus said train tickets for the Nataru 2024 period were available on the Access by KAI application, the kai.id website, minimarkets, and all ticket purchase channels. However, ticket purchases at the station counter are only available for train departures starting 3 hours (go show).
VOIR éGALEMENT:
KAI is committed to providing train tickets in a transparent and trusted manner for all customers. To ward off ticket brokering practices, KAI has long implemented a one seat one passenger policy and a boarding system that requires passenger names to be listed on tickets and identity cards.
For information, KAI recorded 488,238 long-distance train tickets that have been sold per day. This number increased by 23 percent from the tickets provided.
Meanwhile, KAI itself has set the Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 (Nataru) transportation periods, namely December 21, 2023 to January 7, 2024.
The trains that have become favorites for Nataru transportation so far include the Pasarsenen (Purwosari) Relations Bengawan Train, Airlangga Train, Pasarsenen Relations Surabaya Pasarturi (PP), and the Kiaracondong (Blitar) Relations Kahuripan Train.
Then, the Sri Tanjung train relationship between Lempuyangan Ketapang (PP) and several other trains began to be hunted for tickets.
