JAKARTA - Various activities were carried out to provide support to the Palestinian people. One of them. TVOne and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) held prayers and humanitarian aid entitled Unite for Palestine, Friday, November 24 at JS Luwansa Hotel Jakarta.

"I am surprised that in the modern era there is still genocide. I thought 1942 - 1945 was the end of genocide or the extermination of a nation by another nation, but it turns out that today our consciences are shaken by what happened in Palestine. "I would like to express my gratitude to those whose hearts are touched, we are opening a humanitarian fund, we will distribute 100 percent of this humanitarian fund to PMI, because PMI is the one who has an international channel to deliver this aid to Palestine," said Karni Ilyas, Editor-in-Chief of tvOne in a media statement.

Also present at this event were Indonesian donors from various circles, national businessmen, state officials and politicians to share to ease the burden on our brothers and sisters in Palestine.

“War always leaves behind many victims, but this time it was civilians, children and women who were the biggest victims. We have been supporting Palestine for decades. Our real action is to provide real assistance, PMI will do its best to send additional doctors to replace doctors who have been working more than 24 hours, we will send volunteers to work. "Thank you to tvOne for initiating this program," said Jusuf Kalla, Chairman of Central PMI.

Also present was Ustadz Derry Sulaiman who held a painting auction, where the auction proceeds were given as donations. "Thank God, during the event the donations collected reached more than 9 billion Rupiah. This donation will be completely conveyed to the Indonesian Red Cross so that it can be distributed to Palestine," he said.
