JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo said he could become President because of the services of teachers who have always dedicated themselves to the nation's children. Thus conveyed the President at the peak of National Teacher's Day: "Moving Together Celebrate Free Learning" at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, Saturday. "There is a state obligation to give as much appreciation and gratitude to teachers as possible. I can be President like this also because of teachers," said the President, quoted by Antara. Jokowi said that he expressed his appreciation for the holding of the 2023 National Teacher's Day Commemoration, which was lively and full of joy. According to him, this is a form of appreciation to teachers. "This is a form of appreciation for teachers that I know from morning until evening the mother and teacher have never stopped to dedicate themselves to the nation's children," he said. Jokowi said teachers also have many obligations to continue to innovate on the quality of education, in order to produce human resources with Indonesian character and superior human resources as long as they face increasingly difficult challenges. Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim said that the 2023 National Teacher's Day Peak event was attended by 7,500 teachers from Sabang to Merauke.
