SYL Refuses Firli's Comments Named By Police As Suspect Of Alleged Extortion

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo did not want to talk much about the appointment of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri as a suspect in the alleged extortion and gratification investigated by Polda Metro Jaya. He actually talked about the investigation he had just carried out.

"I have been investigated," said Syahrul to reporters after carrying out an examination at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, November 23.

"I'm in the legal process now," he continued.

Meanwhile, Syahrul carried out the legal process at the KPK after being named a suspect in allegations of gratification, extortion, and money laundering (TPPU). He was named a suspect of two of his subordinates, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Kasdi Subagyono and the Director of Agricultural Equipment and Machinery of the Ministry of Agriculture, Muhammad Hatta.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya has finished carrying out a case of alleged extortion or receiving gratuities from former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo. Firli was finally named a suspect.

Some of the evidence that became the basis for determining the suspect was witness testimony and electronic evidence. Meanwhile, the police have examined 91 people in this case.

They include Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Firli Bahuri's former aide, Kevin Egananta.

Then, there is the Semarang Police Chief Kombes Pol Irwan Anwar, the Director of Dumas KPK Tomi Murtomo, and two former KPK leaders Saut Situmorang and M Jasin.

Meanwhile, there are about 8 experts consisting of criminal law experts, micro expressions, and procedural law.
