JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) issued a weather forecast for Wednesday, November 22, 2023. Forecaster Kania Mustikawati revealed that it is predicted that rain will occur in the majority of major cities in the country.

Starting from Sumatra Island, light and moderate rain will flush the cities of Tanjungpunang, Pekanbaru, Medan, Banda Aceh, Bengkulu, Jambi, and Bandar Lampung.

"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in Pangkalpinang and Palembang cities," said Kania, Wednesday, November 22.

Turning to Java, the potential for moderate and light rain will occur in Serang, Bandung, and Semarang cities.

"Meanwhile, the cities of Jakarta, Yogyakarta and Surabaya generally have sunny cloudy to cloudy weather," explained Kania.

Shifting to Bali and Nusa Tenggara, Denpasar and Kupang cities generally have sunny cloudy to cloudy weather. There is the potential for light rain in Mataram City.

For the island of Kalimantan, light rain will flush the cities of Palangkaraya and Samarinda.

"Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning in the cities of Tanjung Selor, Pontianak, and Banjarmasin," said Kania.

On the island of Sulawesi, be aware of thunderstorms in Gorontalo City, light rain in Palu City, Mamuju, and Manado City. "For Makassar City and Kendari the weather is cloudy," he said.

For the Maluku and Papua regions, be aware of the potential for thunderstorms in Ambon City, then moderate rain in Manokwari, and light rain in Ternate and Jayapura cities.

The air temperature in big cities in Indonesia ranges from 19 to 36 degrees Celsius with humidity ranging from 50 to 100%.
