Djarot's Satire Against Gibran In 'Bunt Kandang', Didi Mahardika Responds

JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Didi Mahardhika, responded to criticism from the Chairman of the PDIP DPP, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, regarding Gibran Rakabuming Raka's visit to Tapanuli, North Sumatra. Bung Karno's grandson stated that Djarot's statement crossed the line and was considered tendentious.

According to Didi Mahardhika, Djarot's statement that there was constitutional engineering and nepotism to perpetuate power was considered slander. He stressed that these accusations could damage national unity that had been built by founding fathers.

In his statement, Djarot expressed his concerns regarding the potential outbreak of PDIP support between Prabowo-Gibran and Ganjar-Mahfud, calling Tapanuli a 'bullet cage'. He also quipped Gibran's candidacy as a vice presidential candidate to accompany Prabowo.

Didi Mahardhika views Djarot's statement as a misleading satire. Despite giving a firm response, Didi hopes that the current political dynamics can be dealt with peacefully, upholding the values of unity and tolerance in the process of the General Election and Presidential Election.

"Don't be afraid of the defeat of the candidate by all means, destroying unity, and losing your conscience as a civilized nation," said Didi Mahardhika.
