Jakarta Residents Complain About The Difficulty Of Managing KJMU At State-Private Universities

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta DPRD has received many public complaints regarding the difficulty of managing registration for the Jakarta Superior Student Card (KJMU) for students at public and private universities.

Therefore, the DPRD asked the DKI Provincial Government to facilitate the KJMU registration mechanism so that there are no more complaints about the program that cannot be submitted by the residents.

This was disclosed in the document on the presentation of the results of the third recess in 2023 which was read out by DKI Jakarta DPRD Member Setyoko in a plenary meeting.

"In terms of KJMU services, the council encourages it to be given convenience for residents who take care of it, because it is still difficult for residents to propose to KJMU for children who have studied at public and private universities, because of the conditions that are so difficult to obtain and the difficulty of KJMU requirements for children who study at private universities whose universities are under accreditation A," explained Setyoko, quoted on Tuesday, November 21.

The DPRD also encourages the DKI Provincial Government to check/re-data collection regarding changes to the integrated social welfare data (DTKS) or the Jakarta Smart Card database (KJP).

"Many KJPs are blocked and a lot of data is not included in the School Website, data at the Social Service Pusdatin and P4OP of the Education Office are constrained in the data determination, because the system is constantly changing and many parents and children are confused and the difficulty of data management," said Setyoko.

In this regard, the DPRD also asked the DKI Provincial Government to solve the problem of the number of student diplomas in private schools that were held back. Given, the inability to redeem diplomas has made it difficult for them to apply for jobs.

"Please redeem the diploma because there are still many underprivileged students/students who attend State and Private Schools after graduating at the elementary, junior high and high school/vocational levels, and especially for vocational school children who want to work after graduation but are unable to redeem diplomas from public/private schools," he explained.

The DKI DPRD also encourages the DKI Provincial Government to facilitate services for DKI Jakarta residents who take care of ID cards, families, BPJS, Jakarta Elderly Cards, business permits, IMB, KJP, PIP and KJMU.
