JAKARTA - The Limited Company (PT) of Semen Baturaja was revealed to have purchased 62,621 tons of iron sand from PT Anugrah Mitra Graha (AMG) mining products that carried out mining operations in the Dedalpak Block, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. "It was a purchase in accordance with our contracts since 2020," said Senior Manager of Reserve Procurement of PT Semen Baturaja Muhammad Furqon in a follow-up hearing in the PT AMG mining corruption case with defendants Po Suwandi and Rinus Adam Wakum at the Corruption Court at the Mataram District Court, Antara, Monday, November 20. Muhammad Furqon said there were six contracts that were established in the purchase of iron sand material to meet the needs of raw materials for making the cement. "In accordance with the BAP (examination report), there are contracts that will be in 2020, 2021, and 2022. Some go directly to AMG, some go through PT SID (Semen Indonesia Distributor)," he said. The purchase contract directly to PT AMG, he said, was carried out based on a power of attorney from the Director of PT Semen Baturaja. "There are two contracts directly to AMG," he said. The first contract, he continued, took place on November 26, 2020 with two receipts of goods, namely in December 2020 and February 2021. Furthermore, the second contract was established on March 8, 2021, with two shipments of goods, namely in March and May 2021. "For one shipment, the average tonnage is 7,500 tons with a purchase price of IDR 420,000 per kilogram," he said. Furthermore, four purchase contracts through PT SID as intermediaries will take place from 2020 to 2022. "The first contract was in 2020, it was dated June 9, 2020. The delivery of iron sand material was sent in July 2020," said Furqon. the second contract is on August 4, 2021 with the delivery of 8,254 tons in September 2021. The third contract is on April 14, 2022 for the purchase of 7,849 tons. Goods are shipped in April 2022. The last contract for delivery of 7,800 tons in May 2022, PT Semen Baturaja bought materials based on the contract on May 9, 2022. "The total purchase of 62,000 tons is Rp. 23.47 billion," he said. Furqon admitted that there were several activities of shipping goods that did not coincide with the signing of the contract. "Yes, so the delivery depends on our request. So, there is indeed a contract first, later delivery," he said. As a cement-producing company, Furqon admits that PT AMG's mining products are one that meets the criteria for raw materials in the manufacture of PT SID cement. "So, in terms of quality, PT AMG products meet our standards. We can see that from the content of Fe2O3 (element of iron sand chemical compounds)," said Furqon. Regarding the legality of PT AMG mining, he said that his party did not see it in full to the issue of planning budget activities (RKAB).

"That's enough with the IUP-OP (the mining permit for production operations). As for the RKAB issue, we don't know that. In essence, it is said that the goods are ready, and there is a clean and clear statement, we buy it," he said.
