Rocky Gerung Case, Investigators Have Examined 61 Witnesses

JAKARTA - The alleged case of spreading false news with the reported Rocky Gerung continues to be investigated. The Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police has examined 61 witnesses at the investigation stage.

"In the BAP as many as 61 witnesses have since been fingerprinted (investigated)," said the Director of General Crimes at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro when confirmed, Monday, November 20.

Although dozens of witnesses have been examined, investigators have not scheduled an examination of Rocky Gerung.

This political observer did give his statement when the alleged case of spreading false news was still under investigation. "Not yet, investigators are still in the field," he said.

In addition, Djuhandhani said that in handling the alleged case of spreading false news, his party received 26 police reports (LP). Dozens of reports were received at the Bareskrim Polri level and the regional police ranks. 2 LP Bareskrim, 4 LP Polda Metro Jaya, 12 East Kalimantan LP, 3 Central Kalimantan LP, 3 North Sumatra LP, 2 Special Yogyakarta LP," said Djuhandhani.

In his statement, Rocky Gerung did not convey in what case he was a suspect.

However, Rocky Gerung had mentioned that he had been named a suspect in the alleged spread of the fake news.

"My status is a suspect, I want to convey it here," said Rocky Gerung.

However, Bareskrim Polri rejected that statement. Because, until now there has been no determination of a suspect. Rocky Gerung is still the reported status.
