The Ship Leans On Pidie Aceh, 220 Rohingya Refugees Immediately Enter The Village

ACEH - A total of 220 ethnic Rohingya returned to the mainland of Pidie Regency, Aceh. This time, they immediately entered the village and stopped at the Kulee Gampong prayer room, Batee District, Pidie Regency.

220 ethnic Rohingya diketahui warga sekitar pukul 03.00 WIB, sudah berada di halaman meunasah (musala), kata Camat Batee Ihsan, di Pidie, Minggu 19 November, disitat Antara.

Ihsan said the 220 Rohingya refugees included 68 adult men, 79 adult women and 73 children.

Hundreds of Rohingya refugees who were brought by motorbike are currently still in Meunasah, and data collection is being carried out by security forces as well as IOM and UNHCR.

"Currently, many children look weak, and have been given medical assistance and food assistance," said Ihsan.

Meanwhile, Keuchik Gampong Kulee, Tengku Muhammad, said that he did not know where they were going so they could get to the village.

"Suddenly residents saw that the Rohingya ethnicity was already in the yard of Meunasah and resting there," said Tengku Muhammad.

The 220 Rohingya immigrants are the third group to land in Pidie, after previously two ships carrying 347 people had been evacuated to control the local government to temporary shelters.

For information, this week, hundreds of Rohingya refugees have visited Aceh. First on Tuesday, November 14 on the coast of Gampong Blang Raya, Muara Tiga District, Pidie Regency, 200 people, six of whom fled.

The day after, Wednesday, January 15, as many as 147 Rohingya immigrants returned to land in the Beurandeh beach area, Batee District, Pidie Regency.

The Rohingya ethnicity, which came from two waves to Pidie, has been accommodated at the Mina Raya Gampong Leun Tanjung Foundation camp, Padang Tiji District, Pidie Regency, Aceh.
