Anies Is Not Worried About The Issue Of Identity Politics Because He Attends The GNPF Ijtima Ulama: We Are Committed To Maintaining Unity

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar fulfilled the invitation to attend the Ijtima Ulama and National Leaders 2023 event which was initiated by the 212 Alumni Brotherhood together with the National Movement for Defenders of Fatwa (GNPF) Ulama.

Met after the event, Anies admitted that he was not afraid that in the future he would be accused of playing the issue of identity politics. He emphasized that there is no need to isolate certain community groups to garner support.

"The problem is that there are people in this country, because there are enemies who are forbidden, what happens? A sense of injustice. Why are all reached except one or two groups? Why not, except one or two groups?" Anies said at the Az Zikra Council, Sentul, Bogor, West Java, Saturday, November 18 as reported by era.id.

Anies admitted that he had never been picky about attending invitations from community groups. Including attending events from other mass organizations.

According to him, any community group has the same right to listen to the vision and mission of the candidates for presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"We attend all elements of society. Whoever is present in the deliberation, they are Indonesian citizens who have the same rights, the same opportunity, to hear the views of presidential and vice-prisident candidates," said Anies.

The former governor of DKI Jakarta said that he and Muhaimin were committed to maintaining unity. One way is to accommodate invitations and input from various groups of people.

"We are committed to maintaining unity, reaching out to all, both those with equal and different views," said Anies.

For information, the GNPF Ulama Itjima was held, one of which was to determine the direction of political support in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

The event was only attended by Anies and Muhaimin. Meanwhile, two presidential candidate pairs and other presidential candidates were not invited.

Anies admitted that he did not know what the final result of the GNPF Itjima Ulama was. He was only present to explain the vision and mission of the AMIN pair.

"I don't know yet. There is none yet," he said.
