Missing 2 Days Dragged By Sindangsari River, Taman Ujung Ciawi Water Channel Officer Found Dead

JAKARTA - Yoserizal (49) a project worker was lost in the current in the Sindangsari water channel, Bogor, West Java, since Monday, November 13. The victim was dragged by the current while cleaning himself after working at the drainage of Taman Ujung Ciawi water.

After a search was carried out by the SAR team, Yoserizal's body was found at a radius of 300 meters from the scene. The victim was found dead covered.

The Commander of the Jakarta SAR Office Rescue Team, Sahat Parulian, said that his party received information from residents that the victim had died.

After a search was carried out, the SAR Team then evacuated the victim's body. The victim was taken to Ciawi Hospital to be handed over to the family.

"The victim's body was handed over to the family," he said in a statement received by VOI, Wednesday, November 15.

The search for victims was carried out by EXplore SAR (E-SAR) along the water channel up to a radius of 10 KM from the scene to the Cibalok River meeting.

Dozens of joint SAR personnel were deployed to search for victims, consisting of the Jakarta SAR Office, Bogor City BPBD, Bogor Regency BPBD, Bogor City Fire Department, Bogor Regency Fire Department Fire Department, Bogor City Police, Ciawi Police, Ciawi Koramil and Delta Brimob Polri Kedung Halang.
