Police Arrest Perpetrators Of Work Vacancies Mode Fraud In Serang

SERANG - Serang Police have arrested the fraudster with the job vacancy mode with the initials TS (57), a resident of Kramatjati Village, Kragilan District, Serang Regency, Banten.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serang Police, AKP Andi Kurniady Eka Setyabudi, said that the perpetrator of this fraud case was successfully secured at his residence on Sunday at around 05.30 WIB.

"TS was arrested for committing fraudulent job vacancies against victim Siti Rohilah Nurmalasari," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, November 14.

He explained that previously TS promised to include work at PT Lungcheong Brothers Industrial. TS received four application documents by asking for Rp14.5 million from the victim.

"However, after receiving the files and some money, the promised work did not exist," he said.

Feeling cheated by TS, the victim finally reported the perpetrator to the Serang Police Satreskrim and TS and evidence have now been secured at the Serang Police.

"We have confiscated evidence in the form of a transaction printout and savings book belonging to the victim," he said.

For his actions, TS was charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code or 372 of the Criminal Code with a threat of four years in prison.
