Prabowo's Joke In The Entrepreneur's Support Declaration: It's Banking-Bankir Afraid I'll Be President

JAKARTA - The presidential candidate (Readpres) of the Forward Indonesia Coalition (KIM), Prabowo Subianto, threw a joke after receiving support from the Barisan Entrepreneurs of Fighters at the Djakarta Theater, Jakarta.

In front of the young group of entrepreneurs led by the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution, Prabowo joked that bankers were afraid that he would become president.

"Do you know who is a lot afraid that I will become president, do you know? That, the bankers," Prabowo said in his remarks, Wednesday, November 8.

However, the Minister of Defense did not reveal why the bankers were worried that he would actually become president. Prabowo then told about his experience in dealing with banks.

At that time, Prabowo admitted that he did not have much thought when he was still a career in the military world. However, after quitting and becoming an entrepreneur, the former Danjen Kopassus was always stressed because he continued to think about the problem of paying debts to banks.

"Once I became an entrepreneur, I was also stressed, stressed. Remember, 'How to pay bank interest,' Crazy! Isn't that right?'," he said.

Prabowo admitted that it was very difficult for him to apply for credit to the bank. In fact, he is a former three-star lieutenant general in the Indonesian National Army (TNI).

"It's so bad that the former Pangkostrad, former Danjen Kopassus, seabrek star. As soon as he retired, he asked for credit from the bank, the stars didn't sell well," Prabowo said to laughter from hundreds of young entrepreneurs.

Because of his experience, Prabowo also argued, entrepreneurs in Indonesia actually only look happy and successful outside. However, he said, his mind was not calm.

"Indonesian entrepreneurs have a cool style, right? At night he sleeps, thinks, 'Oh, I'm being chased by the bank tomorrow'," Prabowo said with a laugh again.
