Jokowi: Golkar Successfully Cadreizes And Regenerations

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo assessed that the Golkar Party (Golkar) has succeeded in regeneration and regeneration, because of the large number of young people who are members of the party.

"I am happy that the Golkar Party as one of Indonesia's major parties seems to have sensitivity to this and has succeeded in regeneration and regeneration, so that many young people are present in Golkar," said the President when giving a speech at the Peak of the 59th Anniversary Celebration of the Golkar Party, reported by ANTARA, Monday, November 6.

In his remarks, President Jokowi congratulated the party bearing the banyan tree, which is 59 years old.

According to Jokowi, the increasing age of the Golkar Party will make the party more mature and stronger in facing the various challenges that exist.

The President also asked for calls from young figures, especially those under the age of 40 who attended the party's birthday celebration bearing the banyan tree.

"Saya juga senang malam hari ini hadir ratusan tokoh muda Golkar dari seluruh Tanah Air. Tadi yang 'under 40', paling ramai ini kalau anak-anak muda sudah bersuara. Saya mau dengar suaranya. Suara yang 'under 40' diulangi mana?," tanya Jokowi.

Jokowi's question was immediately met with calls and applause by hundreds of Golkar cadres who attended the event.

The President also appreciated the enthusiasm of the young Golkar Party leaders who continued to burn to advance Indonesia.

Jokowi explained, Indonesia will soon face a demographic bonus in 2030 where 68 percent of Indonesians are of productive age.

The President assessed that in the civilization of a country or nation, the demographic bonus occurred only once so that the moment must be utilized as well as possible.

"This means that the younger generation, their thoughts are dominated by the thoughts of young people. And their spirit is also dominated by the spirit of young people," he said.
