JAKARTA - The police arrested two women with the initials IT (35) and SN (21) for allegedly distributing methamphetamine. These two women act as drug couriers.

Pasar Minggu Police Chief Commissioner David Purba said the arrests were made at the Pancoran red light area, South Jakarta, Sunday night, October 29.

The arrests were made after information related to drug trafficking in the area. On that basis, the police followed up.

At the location, the police immediately intercepted TIR and SN, who were riding a motorcycle at the Pancoran red light. After the examination, six clips of methamphetamine were found which were stored in the motorcycle seat.

"There have been three deliverys. Apart from being a courier, one of them is a suspect in his status as an ordinary housewife," he said.

The suspect was charged with Article 112 paragraph 2 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 with a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison or life.
