Polda Metro Letter Again KPK Requests Evidence Of Extraction Of Electronic Documents In SYL Case

Polda Metro Jaya again wrote to the KPK leadership regarding requests for evidence in the form of data extraction results from several electronic documents. The data is evidence obtained by the KPK in the appointment of a suspected corruption case with the suspect former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL. "Regarding the request for derivative data extraction from the correct electronic documents or from several electronic evidences that were also confiscated from the KPK RI," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak to reporters, Friday, November 3. The letter was said to have been sent to the KPK on Thursday, November 2. The request application has also received permission from the South Jakarta District Court. In the petition, the anti-corruption agency was asked to submit the evidence today at around 14.00 WIB. However, regarding the progress of the document's request, Ade did not elaborate. It was only conveyed, later the document would also be confiscated and used as evidence in handling the alleged extortion case against SYL. "We ask for the schedule for submitting documents today, Friday, November 3, 2023 at 14.00 for us to carry out the confiscation," he said. Previously, on October 23, investigators from the Corruption Sub-Directorate of the Polda Metro Jaya also asked for some evidence from the KPK regarding the SYL case. It said, there were five documents submitted by the anti-corruption agency. "The first is the previous 5 documents submitted by the KPK RI," said Ade. As a reminder, the case of alleged members of the KPK leadership against Syahrul Yasin Limpo has gone up to investigation. A joint team from the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya and the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at Bareskrim Polri have examined dozens of witnesses and experts in handling the case.

In fact, investigators have also searched two of Firli Bahuri's houses on Jalan Kertanegara number 46, South Jakarta and Grand Galaxy, Bekasi.
