Artist Nova Eliza Lost Motorcycle, Police 'Satset' Arrest Perpetrator No More Than 2 Days

JAKARTA The motorcycle thief of artist Nova Eliza was arrested. The police revealed that the perpetrator was a paintman who was being hired by Nova Eliza at that time. The Scoopy motorbike was stolen while Nova was taking her child to school.

It is Bayu S, a paintman who has only worked for two days at Nova Eliza's house in West Pejaten, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta.

Pasar Minggu Police Chief, Commissioner David Pratama Purba, said the theft took place on Thursday, October 26.

David explained that the incident began when Bayu was working at Nova's house. Then malicious intentions emerged, when Nova went to take the child to school.

"So the house is in no condition," he said.

David explained that Bayu, who had only worked for 2 days, knew the whereabouts of Scoopy Nova's motorbike key. The motorcycle key was taken, and he took Nova's motorbike away.

Nova reported to the Pasar Minggu Police. After receiving the report, the police rushed to search for the perpetrators. As a result, the perpetrator was arrested in the near future.

"In just one and a half days, the 27th has been revealed, so it is very fast thanks to the performance of investigators and Opsnals in the field. It is a bit interesting because the victim is an artist Nova Eliza," David told reporters, Friday, November 3.

"The motorbike was sold to a collector with the initials NAN for Rp. 1.5 million in the Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta. NAN is now in the search for members. He is a DPO," he said.

Perpetrators charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with a penalty of 5 years in prison.
