MOJOKERTO - Joint officers and volunteers moved quickly to fight against forest and land fires (karhutla) that occurred in Gunung Penangsungan (1,653 mdpl), Mojokerto Regency, East Java.

The Head of Emergency and Logistics of the Mojokerto Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Abdul Khakim, said the officers moved to extinguish the fire through three climbing routes of Mount Penanggan, namely Tamiajeng Post, Kedungudi Post, and Ngoro Post.

"People can help extinguish the fire by climbing the Tamiajeng Post, and Kedungudi Post," he said.
