SUBANG - The Ciereng Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Subang Regency, West Java, has treated a total of 32 patients who have been poisoned with adulterated liquor.
Director of Subang Ahmad Nasuhi Hospital said that of the 32 patients who had been treated, 13 of them died and 15 other patients had returned home after receiving treatment.
As many as four other patients are currently undergoing treatment, two of whom are being treated in the regular room and the other two are being treated in the ICU at Subang Hospital.
"Hopefully those who are still being treated can recover quickly," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, November 1.
He said all victims of mixed alcohol poisoning generally experience digestive disorders, headaches, vomiting, and a fast heartbeat.
Ahmad Nasuhi said the patient who died because when he arrived at the hospital his condition was severe so he could not be helped.
He said the cost of treating all patients with adulterated liquor poisoning, both those who died and survived were borne by the Subang Regency Government.
"All costs for treating the victims due to adulterated liquor are borne by the Subang Regency Government," he said.
