Puan Waits For Bobby Nasution's 'Bless' Attitude To Choose Gibran Or Ganjar

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P DPP, Puan Maharani, is waiting for the political stance of the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution regarding the direction of his support in the 2024 presidential election.

The reason is, President Joko Widodo's son-in-law has not answered firmly about support for his brother-in-law Gibran Rakabuming, who is currently Prabowo Subianto's vice presidential candidate, or chose Ganjar Pranowo, who was nominated by his party, PDIP.

"Yes, we'll wait for the Gibran. Don't you know anything," said Puan at the DPR building, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, October 31.

Puan did not want to comment on whether PDIP would summon Bobby if it preferred to support the mayor of Solo rather than what was ordered by the party.

"Yes, how confused is it," said Puan.

Previously, the Mayor of Medan, Bobby Nasution, admitted that he would discuss first before accepting the duties of serving as a national campaigner (Jurkamnas) Ganjar-Mahfud.

Whereas Bobby previously admitted that he was ready to accept the task. Bobby's response changed after his brother-in-law, Gibran Rakabuming Raka officially registered as vice presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto.

"So far, so far, I am still a cadre (PDIP). Later I will discuss it first," said Bobby at Medan City Hall, Wednesday, October 25.
