SYL Disturbed When Asked To Meet Firli Bahuri At Kertanegara House, Jakarta

JAKARTA - Former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (SYL) nodded his head when asked about the meeting at the house of KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri on Jalan Kertanegara, Jakarta.

This moment occurred when SYL was asked by the media crew at the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, today Monday, October 30.

At that time, Syahrul, who had just finished carrying out an examination, was asked about his meeting with Firli Bahuri. He nodded when asked about the meeting being held at a house in the Jalan Kertanegara area, Jakarta.

"Yes, ask the Regional Police, ask the regional police," said Syahrul after nodding his head while riding the prisoner's car.

He nodded again when asked about the meeting. However, Syahrul did not provide any information because the prison guard immediately escorted him.

Meanwhile, Firli Bahuri claimed that there had never been a meeting with Syahrul at Jalan Kertanegara's house. The statement was made after he attended the 2023 'Army Chiefs of Staff Cup (KSAD)' badminton tournament at Gelora Bung Karno Arena, Jakarta, Sunday, October 29.

"Nothing, nothing," said Firli at the time.

Firli admitted that the house that had been searched by the police was only used to rest when he had activities in Jakarta. It is known that a search was carried out by Polda Metro Jaya investigators to find evidence of alleged extortion by the KPK leadership against Syahrul.

Previously reported, Polda Metro Jaya is investigating allegations of extortion allegedly committed by the head of the anti-corruption commission against Syahrul. Firli Bahuri was one of the parties who had been questioned on Tuesday, October 24.

Apart from Firli, there are also 54 other witnesses who have been examined. They are SYL's personal driver, SYL's personal aide, Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2007-2011 period Mochammad Jasin.

Then investigators from the police also examined the Deputy Chairperson of the KPK for the 2015-2019 period, Saut Situmorang, the Director of Public Complaints and Complaints (Dumas) of the KPK, Tomi Murtomo, Aide de Camp (ADC) or aide to the Chairman of the KPK Kevin Egananta, and the Semarang Police Chief Kombes Irwan Anwar who is also SYL's nephew's husband.
