The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) is accelerating the implementation of Regional Road Inpres (IJD) to repair several parts of roads in Lampung Province.

"Through the IJD, damaged regional roads will be repaired through assistance from the center. Which sections will be handled by the APBN are determined according to President Jokowi's direction, especially roads connecting production and industrial areas, with outlets and markets," said PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

Basuki said the repair of regional roads was in accordance with Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 3 of 2023 concerning the Acceleration of Improvement of Regional Road Connectivity.

One of the regional roads handled by the Ministry of PUPR through the IJD is Lampung Province which has 99 provincial roads along 1,693 km with a steady condition of 76.85 percent.

Also, 6,591 district roads along 17,774 km with a steady condition of 50 percent and national roads, there are 65 roads along 1,298 km with an absorption of 94.51 percent.

In Lampung Province, there are 17 activities worth IDR 800.2 billion for 104 km of handled roads. The overall progress is around 60 percent and it is targeted that December can be completed.

One of the sections handled by the IJD in FY 2023 is the 11.02 km Korpri-Purwotani intersection in South Lampung Regency, Lampung Province.

This road section is one of the sections that President Jokowi reviewed in May 2023. The physical progress was recorded earlier than the other roads. Currently, the progress of the Korpri-Purwotani Intersection is 70 percent.

In addition to these sections, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, October 28, the Ministry of PUPR through the Lampung Road Implementation Center (BPJN) also handled regional roads on the New-Simpang 3 Country, Pagar Dewa-Lumbok, Pekon Bangun Negara-Cukuh Senuman, Pardasuka Selatan-Tanjung Rusia Timur-Selapan, and Keramat Teluk-Sri Widodo-Ruas Daya Sakti-Makarti.

Then, the Adijaya Tulung Randu and Rapsang Daya Murni-Gunung Batin sections, Sp. Golden Triangle-Muara Tenang, Muara Tenang-Margo Jadi, Bogotama-Pasar Batang, Sp. Randu-Seputih Surabaya Package I and Package II, Gajah City-Sp. Randu Package I and Package II, as well as Labuhan Maringai-Margasari.

The total budget allocated for the handling of the IJD nationally is around Rp. 14.7 trillion, and currently the progress is around 30 percent.

The allocation covers all provinces in Indonesia except DKI Jakarta and Central Kalimantan. The total handled is 3,140 provincial and district regional roads, then for a 2,700 meter long bridge.
