South Sulawesi Police Reveal Methamphetamine Network In Sidrap

The Special Team (Timsus) of the Directorate of Investigation and Narcotics of the South Sulawesi Police (Sulsel) revealed a network of narcotics trafficking of methamphetamine with a total weight of 622 grams at a number of crime scenes (TKP) in Sidenreng Rappang/ Sidrap Regency.

"The disclosure of this case after the team received information about the drug abuse of methamphetamine type on Jalan Poros Tanru Tedong, Sidrap, then from the results of the team's investigation arrested three people with the initials MM, IS and M," said Head of the South Sulawesi Police Narcotics Team, Kompol Andi Sofyan in Makassar, reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 27.

During the search, four clear sasets of moderate size methamphetamine weighing 192 grams were found. A small set containing 2.20 grams of crystal methamphetamine, a plastic bag of two diapers and three cellphones were found.

Furthermore, from the results of the development, Timsus again secured two people with the initials J and S at the second TKP, Jalan Ganggawa, Majelling Village, Maritengae District, Sidrap.

Evidence was found in a clear sachet containing 49.83 grams of crystal methamphetamine, one clear saset of methamphetamine weighing 14.87 grams, five small clear sachets weighing 1.21 grams. Four clear sachets contain 1.32 grams, one black plastic bag, one baby diapers, one socks, one scale, white envelope and three cell phones.

Meanwhile, at the third TKP, the results of the interrogation of the perpetrator were found again evidence in one of the huts on Jalan Veteran, Majelling Wattang Village, Maritengae District, Sidrap.

In that place, evidence was found that eight clear sachets of size contained suspected 401 grams of methamphetamine were stored in a helmet sarong in a black plastic bag in the motorcycle seat. The total amount of the evidence weighed 662 grams.

Chronology of the incident when Timsus received information on drug trafficking, then monitored by stalking the location of Jalan Poros Tanru Tedong. Then the three perpetrators were arrested and searched the car.

During the examination, a clear sachet was found allegedly containing methamphetamine lying on footwear dumped by M, after being searched, four clear sachets were found in the middle of the car driven by three perpetrators with the initials MM, IS and M.

From the interrogation, the perpetrator MM admitted that the prohibited item belonged to him after obtaining it from the female perpetrator with the initials S. Meanwhile, the role of IS and M to order one ball suspected of being drugs and accompanying it.

Furthermore, on the same day Sunday (22/10) at 17.00 WITA members carried out development and arrested a man with the initials J who acted as a courier from S while riding a motorbike on Jalan Ganggawa Sidrap along with the evidence he brought.

"Perpetrator S admitted that the goods obtained from the other perpetrators belonged to him. The goods were obtained from a woman with the initials ME who is now on the People's Wanted List or DPO," said Andi Sofyan.
